Rocking Star Yash next movie Toxic

Yash’s Announcement

‘Rocking Star’ Yash, known for his powerful performances in the KGF series, has recently announced his next project titled ‘Toxic’. The Kannada superstar will be collaborating with director Geetu Mohandas, who gained critical acclaim for her previous work in the Malayalam movie ‘Moothon’.

In a recently released video, ‘Toxic’ is described as ‘a fairy-tale for grown-ups’. While the video doesn’t reveal any footage or plot details, it provides a glimpse into the tone of the film through animated visuals. We see shots of Joker cards, explosions, and a mysterious character wearing a hat, smoking a cigar, and brandishing what appears to be a Tommy gun.

The visuals raise intriguing questions about the genre of the film. Is ‘Toxic’ a period gangster movie or an anti-hero crime thriller, similar to Todd Phillips’ ‘Joker’? It seems that the film will follow the trend of major movie stars portraying violent characters, as seen in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’, Vijay’s ‘Leo’, and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’.

First Look of Toxic

While Yash has portrayed violent avengers in the KGF blockbusters, ‘Toxic’ marks a creative leap for director Geetu Mohandas. Her previous work explored themes of toxic masculinity and LGBTQ issues with sensitivity and received international recognition.

Speaking about the film, Geetu Mohandas shared, “I’ve always experimented with my style of narratives. Although ‘Liar’s Dice’ and ‘Moothon’ were well-received internationally, I’ve always wanted to connect with my own audience in my country. This project emerged from that desire. It brings together two contrasting worlds and aesthetics in storytelling, and I found him, one of the most brilliant minds I have come across, to be a perfect fit. I am excited for our team to embark on this magical journey.”

Reactions to Toxic:

Popular influencer Raghu Gowda caught the attention of many. His comment, “The only TOXICity we all approve of,” sparked a flurry of responses from various individuals.

One comment from an IMDB user read, “We’ll be seated for this fairy tale,” indicating a sense of anticipation and excitement. Comedian Rythm Kumar added his own touch of humor by stating, “Violence ka dusra naam Toxic,” highlighting the potential intensity of the subject matter.

Even the title teaser of the project received an overwhelming response on YouTube. Many viewers expressed their enthusiasm, with comments such as, “It’s not just a title, it’s pure GOOSEBUMPS.” Another user creatively remarked, “Sab Jhund Me ate the, Lakin wo Akela aane wala Monster,” emphasizing the idea that true power can lie in individuality.

The lead actor, has a dedicated fan following, and their trust in him was evident in the comments. One fan wrote, “Trust, wait, and believe in him. He never hurts his fans’ expectations.” Another comment read, “GM god level…only toxicity that is approved,” further highlighting the anticipation surrounding the project.

Toxic is directed by Geetu Mohandas, known for her work on the critically acclaimed film Moothon, and is being produced by KVN Productions. While Yash recently changed his profile display picture on social media to ‘Loading,’ other details of the film, including the names of the director, cast, and crew members, have yet to be announced.
