In a recent livestream, Suraj Nityanand “Neyoo” Majumdar, a member of GodLike Esports, opened up about the team’s emotional state after their elimination from the ESL BGMI Pro Series 2024. The team, who has been struggling for over a year and a half, faced a devastating setback during the Challenge Season of the event, narrowly missing out on a spot in the LAN Finals by just one point.
Neyoo expressed the team’s disappointment, stating, “We were on the verge of crying. Now I don’t understand what to do. Has there ever been such a situation in your life where you wanted to do everything right but were not able to? We changed players but did not get results. I don’t understand where the flaws are. We also changed the in-game leader as well as players, but the downfall still continues.”
Throughout the ESL BGMI Pro Series 2024 Challenge Season, GodLike Esports faced difficulties from the beginning. The team, led by Jelly, was eliminated early in most of their 36 matches, finishing in the 17th position with 270 points. Despite securing two Chicken Dinners and 115 frags, they fell just one point short of qualifying for the LAN Finals, trailing behind Team Genxfm.
This marks the fourth major tournament since the relaunch of BGMI in May 2023 where GodLike Esports has failed to secure a spot in the final stage. However, the team has received a direct invitation to the iQOO LAN Event this month, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their skills. Fans and analysts will be curious to see the strategies they employ to improve their performance in future BGMI tournaments.
Looking ahead, GodLike Esports is determined to turn their fortunes around in the upcoming official tournament scheduled to begin in March. With their recent experiences and continued dedication, the team hopes to overcome their challenges and achieve success on the competitive BGMI scene.
