Team Soul’s Unfortunate Second-Place Finish at ESL BGMI Pro Series 2024
Team Soul, a prominent name in the esports world, experienced yet another second-place finish at the ESL BGMI Pro Series 2024. This marked the third time that Entity Gaming emerged as the winners of the tournament, leaving Team Soul in the runner-up position. This outcome mirrored their previous performances in the PMCO 2019 Fall Split and the iQOO Pro Series 2024.
Heading into the ESL BGMI Pro Series 2024 Finals, Team Soul held a strong position at the top of the overall points table. However, their lead slipped away in the 18th and final match of the tournament. Despite being the crowd-favorite, Team Soul was eliminated early, managing to add only three points to their name in the end game. In contrast, Entity Gaming triumphed in the last match, securing their victory in the tournament.
The LAN Finals of the ESL Pro Series featured 16 teams competing from February 16 to 18 at the Noida Indoor Stadium. With a massive prize pool of ₹1 crore, the stakes were high. Entity Gaming showcased their dominance by accumulating 189 points in 18 matches, while Team Soul trailed closely behind with 171 points. Chemin Esports claimed the third spot with 170 points, and Carnival Gaming secured the fourth position with 169 points.
Following the tournament, Team Soul owner Mortal took to social media platform X to express his thoughts. He stated, “Ese set up k sath alag rishta hai,” highlighting the unique bond and connection that comes with their gaming setup.
Although Team Soul may have fallen short of first place once again, their consistent performances and dedicated fan base continue to make them a force to be reckoned with in the esports world.
