Kawasaki has recently unveiled its 2024 line-up for international markets, and one of the motorcycles included in the list is the updated Z900 roadster. While the Indian market already offers the current version of the Z900, we can expect to see the 2024 iteration arriving on our shores soon. However, unlike the US market, India will only receive the standard version of the motorcycle.
The visual changes to the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 are minimal, with the focus primarily on an updated color palette. The US website lists two paint options: Candy Persimmon Red with Ebony and Metallic Spark Black with Metallic Matte Dark Grey. The overall styling of the Z900 remains unchanged, featuring a design inspired by the Z H2, including a sharp headlight, muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, side-slung exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of hardware, the 2024 Z900 retains its current setup, with 41mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. The braking system consists of dual 300mm discs at the front and a single 250mm rotor at the back. The mechanical specifications also remain the same, with a 948cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The Indian version will be tuned to comply with the E20 fuel requirements.
As for the price and launch details in India, they have not been announced yet. However, we can expect a launch announcement in late 2023 or early 2024. It is anticipated that the updated model may come with a price increase over the current model’s Rs. 9.11 lakh (ex-showroom, India) tag.
