Benelli to Replace TRK 502 Range with New 552cc Models

Benelli has announced its plans to replace its existing 502cc ADV bike line with a new range featuring a slightly larger engine of 552cc. The Italian bikemaker recently unveiled the TRK 552 and TRK 552X models in China, which are expected to offer new features and hardware upgrades.

The new Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X retain the design elements of the 502, including split LED headlights, a front beak with a transparent visor, handle guards with an aluminum brace, split seats, and an upswept exhaust. Additionally, the TRK 552 range will be available in multiple color schemes.

While details about the new TRK 552 range are limited, it is known that the bikes will come equipped with full LED illumination, a fully digital console, ABS, and possibly smartphone connectivity. The current Benelli TRK 502 is powered by a 500cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 46.8bhp of maximum power and 46Nm of peak torque. In contrast, the new TRK 552 series will feature a 549cc, twin-cylinder motor coupled with a six-speed gearbox.

The hardware on the new Benelli bikes has also been upgraded, with adjustable front forks and a monoshock suspension system. The braking system consists of dual front and a single rear disc, fitted with J. Juan callipers, and the setup is connected to spoke wheels with dual-purpose tires.

While pricing details for the TRK 552 range are yet to be revealed, the current Benelli TRK 502 and TRK 502X models retail at Rs. 5.85 lakh and Rs. 6.50 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. Therefore, it can be expected that the new TRK 552 range will come with a higher price tag.

In summary, Benelli’s decision to replace the TRK 502 range with the new 552cc models promises improved performance, updated features, and enhanced aesthetics for adventure bike enthusiasts.
