The Benelli Tornado 400, which was unveiled at the EICMA 2023 in November, has now been launched in the European market. This new offering from Benelli will be competing with popular models such as the Aprilia RS457, KTM RC390, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and Yamaha R3.

Designed with the signature style of the Tornado line-up, the Benelli Tornado 400 features a combination of curvy and sharp lines on its bodywork. It boasts a vertically styled LED headlamp, a full-fairing, and clip-on bars. The rear section of the motorcycle is raised and split, adding to its sporty appearance.

Powering the Tornado 400 is a 399cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces an output of 47.6bhp, complying with A2 license restrictions. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, transferring power to the rear wheel. The motorcycle is built on a tubular steel frame with a single-sided swingarm, providing stability and agility on the road.

In terms of suspension, the Benelli Tornado 400 is equipped with 37mm inverted forks and a monoshock. Nissin calipers handle the braking duties at both ends. The motorcycle also offers features like full-LED lighting, a full-colour TFT with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, USB charging, and TPMS.

Considering the growing popularity of this segment, it is highly likely that Benelli will introduce the Tornado 400 in the Indian market in the near future, possibly in 2025. With its stylish design and competitive features, the Benelli Tornado 400 is set to make its mark among motorcycle enthusiasts in Europe and potentially in India as well.
