Last week may have been devoid of new two-wheeler launches, but there were plenty of updates on some highly anticipated upcoming models. For those who may have missed out on these updates, here’s a quick rundown:
Hero Mavrick 440 Launch Date:
Hero’s flagship offering, the Mavrick 440, is set to be launched in India on 23 January, 2024. The motorcycle has been spotted multiple times and an official teaser has been released. Based on the same platform as the Harley-Davidson X440, the Mavrick 440 will feature a different roadster-type styling and various other updates. It is expected to be priced significantly lower than the X440.
New Jawa 350:
Jawa Motorcycles is gearing up to launch a heavily revised version of the Jawa Standard. The motorcycle will come with a larger 334cc engine and will be called the Jawa 350. This engine is similar to the one found in the Jawa Perak and 42 Bobber, albeit with some tweaks. The Jawa 350 might also see revisions to its chassis and other components. The official launch is scheduled to take place in the coming days.
Triumph Daytona 660 Unveiled:
Triumph recently unveiled the new Daytona 660 globally. Unlike its predecessor, this model is based on the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660. While the fully-faired styling retains some resemblance to the previous Daytona 675, the new model has its own unique visual identity. The engine has been revised to produce 95bhp and rev up to 12,650rpm. Unofficial bookings for the Daytona 660 have already begun in India, indicating its imminent arrival.
Honda NX500 Launching Soon:
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is preparing to launch the NX500, its upcoming adventure motorcycle. According to dealer sources, the bike could be launched soon, with unofficial bookings already underway for a token amount of Rs. 50,000. The NX500 is the successor to the CB500X, featuring some changes but retaining the same 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that generates 47bhp and 43Nm of torque.
Hero Xpulse 210 Launch Timeline:
The next-generation 210cc iteration of the Hero Xpulse 200 is expected to be launched in India in 2025. Recently spotted undergoing test runs, the new Xpulse 210 will share the same chassis and engine as the Karizma XMR. While the design elements will largely remain unchanged from the current generation of Xpulse 200, the mechanical and cycle parts of the new model will be entirely new.
Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting upcoming two-wheelers.
