Upcomming New Kia Clavis

According to reliable sources, the highly anticipated Kia Clavis, specifically designed for the Indian market, is set to make its global debut by the end of 2024, with sales expected to commence in early 2025. This versatile vehicle is expected to offer customers a range of powertrain options, including internal combustion engines (ICE), electric vehicles (EV), and hybrid models. However, it is anticipated that the ICE variants will be available for purchase before the EV version.

The Clavis EV will share the same platform as the ICE models, ensuring a seamless transition for the brand. Kia India has ambitious plans to manufacture approximately 100,000 units of the AY SUV annually, with 80 percent of the production dedicated to the ICE range. Additionally, a portion of these units will be allocated for export purposes.

Positioned between the Sonet and Seltos models in Kia’s India lineup, the Clavis will be marketed as a lifestyle vehicle, boasting a rugged SUV-like appearance and a boxier design to differentiate it from the Sonet. However, it is worth noting that the Clavis will not feature 4WD technology.

In addition to the Clavis, Kia has other exciting models in the pipeline for the Indian market. These include the born EV EV9 flagship and the new Carnival MPV, further expanding the brand’s offerings in the country.

With its anticipated range of powertrain options, distinctive design, and strategic positioning within Kia’s lineup, the Clavis is poised to make a significant impact on the Indian automotive market when it arrives in early 2025.
