Ather Energy, the Bengaluru-based manufacturer, has officially teased its upcoming electric scooter, the Ather Rizta. This family-oriented scooter has been spotted testing earlier and is set to be launched in the coming months. Here’s what we know about it so far.
From the test mule, it is evident that the Ather Rizta will feature a flat apron and minimal cuts or creases on its side panels, distinguishing it from the current 450 lineup. The scooter will sport a horizontally integrated LED headlight and a taillight fitted in the same format. Additionally, the floorboard area of the Ather Rizta is expected to be more spacious compared to the current 450X model.
In terms of hardware, features, motor, and battery, the Ather Rizta is likely to borrow from the 450 bloodline. Ather currently offers the 450S with a 2.9kWh battery, while the 450X comes with options of a 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery. Both models have a top speed of 90kmph. The 450S offers a range of 115km, while the 450X with a 2.9kWh battery offers 111km and the 450X with a 3.7kWh battery offers 150km of range.
The Ather Rizta is expected to feature the Deep View display seen on the 450S, helping to keep costs in check. Additionally, the scooter may come with ride modes, multiple readouts on the screen, and smartphone connectivity.
In terms of pricing, the Ather Rizta is estimated to be priced around Rs. 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival the TVS iQube range.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Ather Rizta as we await its official launch in the coming months.
