Hero MotoCorp recently showcased the Xoom 125R at the Bharat Mobility Expo, marking its entry into the premium 125cc scooter segment. Hero Xoom 125R Expected Price of around 90,000 rs in India, the Xoom 125R offers an impressive combination of sporty design and advanced features.
The Xoom 125R features Hero’s new design language, which is evident in its sharp-looking front apron with integrated LED lights, sleek side panels, and modern tail sections. The dual-tone colors add to its overall appeal, making it a visually striking scooter.
Under the hood, the Xoom 125R is powered by a 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 9.4bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.16Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT and incorporates Hero’s i3S start/stop system for enhanced fuel efficiency.
In terms of features, the Xoom 125R impresses with its all-LED lights, including scroll-style turn indicators. The fully digital instrument cluster provides readouts for average fuel consumption and distance-to-empty, along with the usual speedometer and fuel gauge. Additional conveniences include an external fuel filler cap, USB charging port, and ample storage space under the seat and behind the front apron.
The Xoom 125R boasts a sturdy underbone chassis, supported by a telescopic fork and a monoshock suspension. It rides on 14-inch wheels, a first in the 125cc scooter segment. Braking duties are handled by a single disc at the front and a drum brake at the rear.
Expected to be launched towards the end of 2024, the Hero Xoom 125R will compete against popular models like the TVS Ntorq and the Suzuki Avenis in the premium scooter segment.
