Blind Esports has recently made an exciting announcement, officially signing five ex-Team Insane BGMI players. This move comes as a surprise, considering that Blind Esports had just conquered the prestigious BMPS tournament in December 2023. However, the organization decided to part ways with their star-studded roster and the players were quickly acquired by Soul Esports on January 1, 2024.
Last year, Blind Esports had a remarkable journey, winning multiple BGMI events and earning over $190K in prize money. With their new squad, the organization aims to maintain their momentum and continue their success in the upcoming year.
The BGMI roster of Blind Esports includes Aadi, Skipz, Darkload, Harsh, and Jazzy. Led by Aadi, the squad achieved a commendable third-place finish in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023, which was won by their former Blind Esports teammates. Aadi, a seasoned player, has consistently proven himself but has yet to claim a major title.
Throughout 2023, these star players experienced both ups and downs. They had a somewhat underwhelming performance in the BGMI Pro Scrims and the Villager Domin8r Series in June. However, they managed to secure a podium finish in the Upthrust Survivors Saga Season 2 and claimed the third position in the Skyesports Champions Series.
In the first major contest of the year, the Nodwin BGMI Masters Series Season 2, the Team Insane lineup secured the fifth spot. They delivered outstanding performances, securing second place in the League and fifth in the Finals. However, they faced challenges in subsequent tournaments, coming in 18th place in the BGIS 2023 and struggling in the Skyesports Championship 5.0.
Despite these setbacks, the players made a sensational comeback in the BMPS 2023. Harsh, Darkload, and Skipz were particularly impressive throughout the tournament, and Aadi was awarded the best IGL title in the Pro Series.
Currently, Blind Esports is competing in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series, ranking 14th after Week 1 of the Challenge Season. The team will be looking to strengthen their position in the second week, which begins on January 19. This tournament marks the first major event of 2024.
These players have earned the admiration of many BGMI veterans over the years for their superb skills. Now, under the new banner of Blind Esports, this star-studded lineup is eager for a strong start to the year and to continue making their mark in the BGMI scene.
