GodLike Esports Takes Action Following Disqualification from Skyesports Champions Series 2024
GodLike Esports recently made headlines as they decided to fire their BGMI analyst and esports manager in response to their disqualification from the ongoing Skyesports Champions Series 2024. The team faced this unfortunate outcome due to a ringing incident, which resulted in the player Gill, who was not registered in the squad, participating under the name GodL Pookie in the Semifinals.
On March 3, Skyesports disqualified GodLike Esports from the tournament after discovering that the player’s account claimed to be ZGOD’s secondary ID, which was later found to be false upon investigation. Consequently, the team was disqualified from the entire tournament, despite being in 21st position after the fifth day of the Semifinals stage.
In response to this incident, GodLike Esports took immediate action by expelling their BGMI analyst and esports manager. The organization acknowledged that this incident occurred due to their BGMI team’s participation in multiple events. They expressed their sentiments on social media, stating, “In light of recent events during the Skyesports tournament, we find it necessary to address a situation that unfolded unbeknownst to our upper management. While our team was actively participating in various events, an unfortunate incident occurred involving a ringing case within our organization.”
In addition to dismissing the two members, GodLike Esports also issued an apology to their fans, sponsors, and the esports community for any inconvenience caused. They emphasized their commitment to fair play and the importance of following all rules in the game.
Moving forward, the organization will now focus on the upcoming official tournament, the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024, which is expected to begin this month. With their recent struggles and failures in previous BGMI majors, GodLike Esports aims to secure a respectable position in the upcoming contest.
Despite the setback in the Skyesports Champions Series 2024, GodLike Esports remains determined to bounce back and regain their competitive edge in the esports scene.
