Hero MotoCorp to Launch Mavrick, a Premium Offering to Rival Royal Enfield Classic 350
Hero MotoCorp, one of India’s leading motorcycle manufacturers, is all set to launch its most premium offering yet, the Mavrick. Scheduled for release on 23rd January 2024, the Mavrick is expected to be a strong competitor to the popular Royal Enfield Classic 350.
Based on the same platform as the Harley-Davidson X440, the Mavrick will feature a range of new elements that give it a distinctive personality. From the teaser images, it is clear that the Mavrick boasts a muscular roadster design, characterized by its brawny-looking bodywork.
At the front, the bike showcases a round headlamp with twin petite DRls, accompanied by a round offset instrument cluster and a flat, tubular-style handlebar. The curvy fuel tank is complemented by sharp extensions, while the stubby tail accommodates a scooped-out, single-piece seat.
In terms of features, the Mavrick is expected to come with modern amenities. Teasers have revealed the presence of full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled LCD screen, enhancing the overall riding experience.
Powering the Mavrick will be the same 440cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine found in the X440. However, there may be subtle changes to alter the feel and performance numbers, which currently stand at 27bhp and 38Nm respectively.
The bike will ride on diamond-cut alloy wheels, supported by telescopic forks and dual springs for a comfortable and smooth ride. Braking will be handled by a single disc at both ends, with a dual-channel ABS setup likely to be standard.
With an expected price tag of under Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom), the Hero Mavrick will directly compete against popular models such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Harley-Davidson X440, Jawa 350, and the Honda CB350.
In summary, the Hero Mavrick promises to be an exciting addition to the premium motorcycle segment in India, offering a unique blend of style, performance, and modern features. Motorcycle enthusiasts can look forward to its launch and experience the thrill it brings on the road.
