Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s latest film, Fighter, has been making waves at the global box office, grossing over Rs 300 crore worldwide. The aerial actioner, directed by Siddharth Anand, has garnered immense popularity and is set to continue its success on a streaming platform.
The OTT rights for Fighter have been acquired by streaming giant Netflix, although the premiere date is yet to be revealed. It is anticipated that the film will make its debut on the platform around the festival of Holi this year. This news comes as a relief for those who missed the opportunity to watch the film on the big screen.
Recently, the makers of Fighter released a romantic number titled “Bekaar Dil” from the film. This song was not included in the theatrical version and features vocals by Vishal Mishra, Shilpa Rao, Vishal Dadlani, and Sheykhar Ravjiani. The addition of this track has further piqued the interest of fans.
However, Fighter faced a legal hurdle when a notice was issued against the makers and the lead cast. The notice, titled “Legal Notice for Defamation, Insult and Negative Impact of Indian Air Force and its Officers,” emphasizes the significance of the Indian Air Force uniform as a symbol of unwavering commitment to duty, national security, and selfless service.
In the film, Hrithik Roshan portrays the character of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty. Alongside Roshan and Padukone, Fighter features talented actors such as Karan Singh Grover, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Oberoi, and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
