Husqvarna, the renowned Swedish motorcycle manufacturer, has recently introduced its most powerful bike in India – the Svartpilen 401 scrambler. With its latest iteration, the Svartpilen 401 has undergone significant cosmetic and mechanical enhancements. Let’s delve into the details of this exciting new offering.

Design:
The Svartpilen 401 boasts a refreshed design, both in terms of its cosmetic appeal and mechanical features. Notable updates include a larger LED headlight with an LED ring and a small visor. The side panels have been shortened, and the tank design has been revamped with forward-shifted protrusions. Additionally, the bike now features a proper tail setup instead of a single-sided tire hugger, resulting in a cleaner right side profile.

Features:
In addition to its striking design, the 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 comes equipped with several new and improved features. These include ride-by-wire technology, traction control, Supermoto ABS, and a five-inch TFT display with optional smartphone connectivity. The bike also offers a convenient type-C charging port.

Engine:
The Svartpilen 401 is powered by a robust 398.6cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Delivering an impressive performance, it produces 46bhp at 9,000rpm and 39Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and features a bi-directional quickshifter, similar to the new KTM 390 Duke.

Hardware:
Husqvarna has equipped the Svartpilen 401 with top-of-the-line hardware, including WP Apex USD front forks and an adjustable WP Apex monoshock. The braking setup comprises a 320mm front and 240mm rear disc, complemented by dual-channel ABS. The bike rides on 17-inch spoke wheels fitted with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear Pirelli block pattern tires.

Price:
Priced at Rs. 2,92,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 offers an attractive proposition for motorcycle enthusiasts. It is approximately Rs. 19,000 more affordable than the KTM 390 Duke, while being about Rs. 29,000 more expensive than the Triumph Scrambler 400X.

The arrival of the Svartpilen 401 in India showcases Husqvarna’s commitment to delivering high-performance motorcycles with cutting-edge features. With its striking design, advanced technology, and competitive pricing, the Svartpilen 401 is set to make a mark in the Indian motorcycle market.
