iQOO BGMI India League Canceled: Equal Prize Money for Participating Teams

The iQOO BGMI India League, which was scheduled to take place from February 22 to 24 at the Noida Indoor Stadium in Delhi NCR, was unfortunately canceled due to persistent network and audio connectivity issues. As a result, each of the 16 participating teams will receive an equal share of the prize money.

Originally, the tournament had a total prize pool of ₹40 lakhs, with the first and second prizes set at ₹16 lakhs and ₹8 lakhs, respectively. The third, fourth, and fifth prizes were ₹3.5 lakhs, ₹2 lakhs, and ₹1.5 lakhs, respectively. Additionally, there were cash prizes of ₹1 lakh each for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) player and the MVP team.

Following the cancellation of the event, the organizers decided to distribute ₹2.5 lakhs to each of the participating teams. The 16 teams that were set to compete in the iQOO BGMI India League included Entity Gaming, Team Soul, Team Tamilas, Medal Esports, Team XSpark, Blind Esports, Hydra Esports, OR Esports, Gujarat Tigers, Enigma Gaming, Gods Reign, Skulltz Esports, GodLike Esports, Revenant Esports, FS Esports, and Carnival Gaming.

The organizers expressed their sincere apologies to the fans who were eagerly anticipating the tournament and to the participating teams. They explained that despite their best efforts and the assistance of their partners, they were unable to find a stable solution to the network and audio issues that plagued the event.

On the first day of the tournament, matches were unable to take place due to ping problems. Although the first match started on the second day, teams continued to face audio and internet issues. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these problems, the organizers ultimately made the difficult decision to cancel the iQOO BGMI India League.

It is unfortunate that the tournament had to be called off, but the organizers are committed to ensuring the best experience for the teams and fans. They expressed their understanding of the disappointment and inconvenience caused and sincerely apologized for the situation.

While the iQOO BGMI India League may not have reached its intended conclusion, the participating teams will still receive equal prize money as a gesture of recognition for their efforts and participation in the event.
