In a surprising turn of events, iQOO has made the decision to cancel the LCQ Stage of its highly anticipated BGMI LAN Event 2024. Instead, the LAN Event will now feature the finalists of the recently concluded iQOO Pro Series. The event is scheduled to take place from February 22, 2024, to February 24, 2024, at the Noida Indoor Stadium in Delhi NCR.
Initially, iQOO had announced that the LAN Event would consist of 16 BGMI teams, including the top 11 from the Pro Series Finals, two invited clubs (Soul and GodLike), and the top three squads from the LCQ. However, with the cancellation of the LCQ phase, the LAN Event will now solely showcase the Pro Series 2024 finalists, including GodLike and Soul.
The three-day contest boasts a total prize pool of ₹40 lakh, making it an enticing competition for the participating teams. Here are the 16 squads that will be competing at the iQOO BGMI LAN Event 2024:
1. Entity Gaming
2. Team Soul
3. Team Tamilas
4. Medal Esports
5. Team XSpark
6. Blind Esports
7. Hydra Esports
8. OR Esports
9. Gujarat Tigers
10. Dark Spirit Esports
11. Gods Reign
12. Skulltz Esports
13. GodLike Esports
14. Revenant Esports
15. FS Esports
16. Carnival Gaming
The Pro Series Finals, held on January 31, 2024, and February 1, 2024, saw intense competition among all the listed teams. Entity Gaming emerged as the winners after 12 matches, with Team Soul finishing in second place. Team XSpark, led by the impressive NinjaJod, secured the fifth spot and NinjaJod was named the MVP for his outstanding performances.
Teams such as Bind, Hydra, and OR Esports had a decent run in the Pro Series Finals, while Gods Reign, Revenant, and GodLike Esports struggled to meet expectations. FS Esports, led by Aaru, faced difficulties, and Carnival Gaming couldn’t replicate their earlier form from the Group Stage.
With the cancellation of the LCQ Stage, the iQOO BGMI LAN Event 2024 promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent as the Pro Series finalists battle it out for the coveted BGMI trophy.
