New Kia Seltos Diesel
Kia Motors India has recently introduced the much-awaited diesel manual powertrain combination to its popular Seltos variant lineup. This update includes the addition of five new diesel variants with a 6-speed manual transmission. The newly added variants are HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+. The starting price for these diesel manual variants is Rs. 11.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
With the introduction of these five variants, Kia India now offers a total of 24 different variants for the Seltos. The diesel powertrain options include the iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission), a clutch-less technology, as well as a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Now, customers also have the choice of a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Kia Seltos comes packed with several impressive features. Some of the highlights include Level 2 ADAS autonomous features, a dual-screen panoramic display with a 26.04 cm Full Digital Cluster and a 10.25-inch HD Touchscreen Navigation system, Dual Zone Fully Automatic Air Conditioner, R17 Crystal Cut Alloy Wheels, Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof, and an Electric Parking Brake.
Under the hood, the Seltos Diesel is powered by a 1.5-litre CRDI diesel engine that delivers 116 PS at 4000 RPM and 250 Nm of torque at 1500-2750 RPM. In addition to the diesel engine, Kia also offers a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine option, producing 115 PS at 6300 RPM and 144 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. This petrol engine is available with both 6-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission options. For those seeking more power, there is a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 160 PS at 5500 RPM and 253 Nm of torque at 1500-3500 RPM. This engine is available with a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
