Mahindra XUV300 Facelift update
Mahindra has confirmed that the long-awaited XUV300 facelift will have its prices announced in February 2024, following the launch of the updated XUV400 EV in January. With this facelift, Mahindra aims to strengthen its presence in the fiercely competitive compact SUV market, which has recently seen the introduction of the heavily updated Nexon and the refreshed Kia Sonet.

The Mahindra XUV300 facelift will receive a major styling overhaul, particularly in the front and rear. Drawing inspiration from Mahindra’s BE line-up of SUVs that will hit the market in 2025, the XUV300 facelift will feature a more angular nose and a completely redesigned drop-down LED daytime running lamp. The bumper and headlamp assembly will also undergo revisions, and a new two-part grille with a larger central air intake will be introduced.
At the rear, a completely redesigned tailgate with a full-width LED light bar will catch the eye. The surfacing of the tailgate will be smoother, the tail-lamps sleeker and C-shaped, and the registration plate will be housed on the bumper instead of the tailgate. While the profile is not expected to undergo major changes, the XUV300 facelift will sport a new set of alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the XUV300 facelift will be equipped with an Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic (torque converter) paired with the most powerful 131hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (TGDI) engine. This engine, which is also found in the Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus, will be complemented by the existing 6-speed manual and automated manual transmission options. The current range of engines, including a 1.5-litre diesel, 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.2-litre direct injection turbo petrol (TGDI), will continue unchanged. In addition to the styling updates, the XUV300 facelift will come with exciting new features. It will boast a segment-first panoramic sunroof, allowing passengers to enjoy expansive views of the surroundings. The infotainment system will also receive an upgrade, with a larger 10.25-inch screen providing a more immersive user experience. However, sources indicate that advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and a 360-degree camera will not be offered with the facelifted model.
Furthermore, Mahindra plans to introduce an electric version of the XUV300 alongside the standard facelifted model. This electric variant, set to be released by June 2024, will serve as a competitive alternative to the new Nexon EV and will be positioned below the XUV400 EV.
The launch of the Mahindra XUV300 facelift is eagerly anticipated by SUV enthusiasts and potential buyers alike. With its striking design updates, powerful engine options, and exciting new features, the XUV300 facelift is poised to make a strong statement in the compact SUV segment. Stay tuned for the official price announcement in February 2024 and get ready to experience the next level of Mahindra’s SUV prowess.
