The Skoda Enyaq is set to make its debut in India this year as Skoda’s first electric vehicle for the subcontinent. The Enyaq will be launched via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route, offering Indian customers a taste of Skoda’s electric technology. One of the key factors that buyers consider when looking at electric vehicles is the price, and the Skoda Enyaq is expected to be priced between Rs. 50.00 Lakh and Rs. 55.00 Lakh, depending on the variant selected.

As for the release date, the Skoda Enyaq is anticipated to be unveiled at the upcoming Auto Expo in January 2023, generating excitement among EV enthusiasts. The Enyaq will be available in five variants internationally: 50, 60, 80, 80X, and vRS. These variants offer different levels of performance and features to cater to varying customer preferences.

Under the hood, the Skoda Enyaq is built on the MEB modular electric car platform developed by the Volkswagen Group. It offers three battery pack options: 52kWh, 58kWh, and 77kWh. The smaller battery pack options are available with rear-wheel drive, while the larger 77kWh battery pack option offers both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive capabilities. With a full charge, the Skoda Enyaq can achieve a maximum range of approximately 500km, as per the WLTP cycle.

In terms of features, the Skoda Enyaq boasts a range of advanced technologies. It comes equipped with a 13-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment display, a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a powered driver’s seat with massage function. Additionally, the Enyaq offers three-zone climate control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charger, and more.

When it arrives in India, the Skoda Enyaq will face competition from other electric vehicles such as the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and BMW i4. With its stylish design, impressive range, and advanced features, the Skoda Enyaq is poised to make a mark in the Indian electric vehicle market.
