Actor Yami Gautam is about to embark on the biggest role of her life: motherhood. Putting an end to the speculation, Yami and her husband, filmmaker Aditya Dhar, confirmed the news of her pregnancy at the trailer launch event of her upcoming film, Article 370. The couple shared their joyous news, revealing that Yami is currently five-and-a-half months pregnant.

During the event, Aditya Dhar expressed his excitement, stating, “This film is a family affair. My brother was there, my wife was there, and there is a baby on its way. It was an amazing time, the way the film happened, the way we got to know about the baby.”

Yami also spoke about her pregnancy and the experience of shooting while being pregnant. She described it as mentally draining and mentioned the challenges of facing many first-time experiences. Yami expressed her gratitude for having Aditya by her side, along with the support of the film’s director, Lokesh, and others involved in the project.

Reflecting on her journey, Yami shared, “There was rigorous training involved for the film. You want to be cautious and careful, and I am thankful to all the doctors who were supervising this secretly. By the time I was expecting a baby, we were mostly left with the talking portions of the film, so we could manage. But this felt surreal because the baby was also a part of it. Some of the inspiration also came from how I saw my mother work her way through.”

Yami and Aditya tied the knot in June 2021 after dating for over two years. They first met on the sets of the critically acclaimed film, Uri: The Surgical Strike, where Yami played a lead role and Aditya served as the director.

Set against the backdrop of Article 370, the film Article 370 is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and features Yami Gautam and Priyamani in the lead roles. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and his brother Lokesh Dhar. Described as a political thriller, the movie aims to provide a deep dive into the “confidential chain of events” that led to the unprecedented outcome of rendering Article 370 ineffective.

Article 370 is set to release in cinemas worldwide on February 23, 2022. This film marks Yami Gautam’s return to the big screen after her previous appearance in the movie OMG 2, alongside Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi.

As fans eagerly await the release of Article 370, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar are embracing this new chapter in their lives with joy and anticipation. The couple’s announcement of their pregnancy has added an extra layer of excitement to the already highly anticipated film.
