The performance of the movie Fighter movie at the box office has been a paradoxical one, as noted by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. While the film, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone as air force officers, has witnessed a sharp decline in domestic box office numbers, it has been performing well overseas. Countries like the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand have shown strong weekday figures following an excellent weekend.

The domestic box office collection of Fighter stands at ₹134 crore after six days, according to Sacnilk. However, the film’s daily collections have fallen to single digits this week, with ₹8 crore on Monday and ₹7.5 crore on the following day, compared to Sunday’s total of ₹29 crore. The underperformance of Fighter in India has sent shock waves throughout the industry.

Despite ticking all the boxes, including star power, a renowned director, critical acclaim, and positive audience feedback, the dwindling numbers in India have been surprising. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh expressed his concern about the setback at the beginning of the year, stating that it is indeed worrisome.

While the film faces a downward trend in India, it continues to hold strong in key international markets, even on weekdays. The markets in the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are still performing well. This paradoxical situation has left experts puzzled, with Taran Adarsh questioning how to explain this phenomenon.

Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi in pivotal roles. Despite the disappointment of the film’s drop in numbers, it is clear that Fighter has the potential to be a success and has garnered the attention of audiences and industry insiders alike.
