Team GodLike and Team XSpark, two prominent names in the competitive mobile gaming scene, have faced unexpected elimination from the ESL Snapdragon BGMI Pro Series 2024. Despite their previous successes, both teams were unable to secure a spot in the LAN Finals, which are scheduled to take place from February 16 to 18.
Team GodLike narrowly missed out on qualifying for the final stage of the event. They finished 17th in the overall standings of the Challenge Season with 270 points, falling just short of qualification by a single point. Similarly, Team XSpark ended up in 25th place with 210 points after their performances throughout the event.
During the Challenge Season, which consisted of 36 matches for each team, GodLike Esports struggled to find their footing. They started off in 16th place with 64 points at the end of the first week and failed to improve significantly in the following weeks. Despite a slight improvement in the third week, they ultimately couldn’t maintain their momentum and secure a spot in the LAN Finals.
Team XSpark, led by Dream and recently recruiting NinjaJod, also faced difficulties throughout the four-week-long Challenge Season. Despite commendable performances from NinjaJod, the team as a whole struggled and suffered early eliminations in many matches.
In addition to GodLike and XSpark, Reckoning and Medal, two other experienced lineups, also failed to secure their places in the LAN Finals. Chemin Esports emerged as the top team in the Challenge Season with 381 points, followed by Global Esports and Team Soul in second and third place, respectively.
Looking ahead, Entity and Revenant, who delivered consistent performances throughout the Challenge Season, will be aiming for a podium finish in the BGMI Pro Series LAN Finals. Hydra Officials, owned by Dynamo Gaming, secured their position in the final stage by finishing in 15th place.
Overall, it was a disappointing outcome for Team GodLike and Team XSpark in the BGMI Pro Series 2024 Challenge Season. However, the LAN Finals still promise exciting competition as the remaining teams battle it out for the top spot.
