Hyundai India recently gave the i20 hatchback a mild facelift, and now it seems that the automaker has more in store for its popular model. According to insider information, Hyundai is set to introduce a new variant called the Sportz (O) in the i20 lineup.

The Sportz (O) variant is expected to come with three exciting new features that will enhance the driving experience. These features include an electric sunroof, a wireless charging pad, and a cushioned armrest for the driver-side door pad. These additions will complement the existing features of the Sportz variant, which include LED tail lamps, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, a cooled glovebox, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a height-adjustable driver seat.

In terms of engine options, the i20 Sportz (O) variant will most likely be offered with the existing 1.2-litre petrol engine. Customers will have the choice between manual and automatic gearboxes, catering to different driving preferences.

Currently, Hyundai offers the i20 in five variants – Era, Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O) – with prices starting at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The introduction of the Sportz (O) variant will provide customers with another option that combines style, comfort, and convenience.

Hyundai has been continuously updating its lineup to meet the evolving needs and preferences of Indian customers. With the upcoming Sportz (O) variant, the i20 hatchback is set to become even more appealing to car buyers who seek a combination of practicality and premium features.
