Adventure enthusiasts have something to look forward to as KTM’s next-generation 390 Adventure has been spotted testing in India once again. This time, the motorcycle was seen testing at night, possibly inside a tunnel. The new 2025 model will undergo a transformation, shifting from its road-focused persona to a more off-road-centric makeover.
The upcoming 390 Adventure will feature Dakar-rally inspired styling, including a beak-style fender, a large fairing, and a lean tail section. A rally-inspired high-mounted color TFT display, similar to the one found on the new 390 Duke, will also be included. Underneath, it will share the same frame as its street-focused sibling, the 390 Duke.
Equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels wrapped in knobby tires, the new 390 Adventure will be ready to tackle various terrains. Powering the motorcycle will be the familiar 399cc, liquid-cooled engine from the 390 Duke, delivering 45.3bhp and 39Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The global debut of the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is expected to take place in late 2024, possibly at EICMA. As for the Indian market, the launch is anticipated to happen in early 2025. Once available, it will compete with the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, BMW G 310 GS, and the upcoming Hero Xpulse 400.
