Yamaha has recently expanded the color options for its popular neo-retro motorcycle, the FZ X, in India. With the introduction of two new shades, the FZ X now offers a total of five color choices. The standout variant is the Chrome version, which comes with a price tag of Rs. 1.40 lakh. This variant features a chrome-finished fuel tank and headlamp nacelle, along with golden alloy wheels, giving it a flashy and eye-catching appearance.
Another new addition to the lineup is the Metallic Black variant, which boasts a sleek and stylish all-black bodywork and cycle parts. Priced at Rs. 1.36 lakh, it offers a sophisticated and elegant look. The Matte Copper and Matte Black variants are also available at the same price point. Additionally, for an extra Rs. 1,000, customers can opt for the Dark Matte Blue shade (all prices are ex-showroom).
The design of the FZ X draws inspiration from Yamaha’s globally popular retro-inspired motorcycle, the XSR 155. It features a round headlamp with a circular DRL, a bulbous fuel tank, and a chunky seat with a ribbed pattern, giving it a distinct and appealing visual appeal.
In terms of features, the FZ X is equipped with a USB charging port, traction control, single-channel ABS, and a side-stand engine cut-off switch. Powering the bike is a 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 12.2bhp and 13.3Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed gearbox. With a weight of just 139kg (kerb) and a fuel tank capacity of 10 litres, the FZ X offers a nimble and efficient riding experience.
The FZ X rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and features telescopic forks and a monoshock suspension system for a comfortable and stable ride. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends, ensuring reliable stopping power.
With these new color variants, Yamaha has added more choices for riders looking to express their style and individuality with the FZ X.
