The Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha, expressed confidence on Monday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would emerge victorious in the next Lok Sabha polls under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at a press conference held at the state BJP headquarters in Agartala, Dr. Saha congratulated the voters in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan for the recent electoral victories of the saffron party in those states. He also claimed that the BJP would secure both Lok Sabha seats in Tripura.
Highlighting the importance placed by PM Modi on delivering the benefits of flagship programs to every citizen of the country, Dr. Saha mentioned initiatives such as Skill India and Make in India that aim to empower women and youth. He emphasized that PM Modi does not engage in caste politics and considers women, youth, farmers, and the poor as the four castes for him. The results of the recent elections, according to Dr. Saha, indicate that the people have voted in favor of the BJP and rejected the INDIA alliance. He expressed confidence that the BJP, with PM Modi as the Prime Minister, would once again come to power.
Responding to a question about the electoral significance of the Opposition TIPRA Motha in the ST-reserved East Lok Sabha seat, Dr. Saha stated that the BJP works for the people throughout the year and is prepared to contest the upcoming parliamentary polls. He emphasized that for the BJP, service is the organization and they strive to ensure that the benefits of all flagship programs reach every individual. Dr. Saha further mentioned that the Tipra Motha is not a factor for them, as they have previously won the Dhanpur and Buxanagar bypolls on their own.
The President of the State BJP, Rajib Bhattacharya, echoed Dr. Saha’s sentiments and expressed confidence in the BJP’s victory in the upcoming elections, stating that people have realized that there is no alternative to PM Modi.
