Krafton, the publisher of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), has hinted at an upcoming LAN event through a short video clip. Although the name of the event has not been disclosed, popular caster Mazy has leaked that the prestigious BGIS (Battlegrounds Mobile India Series) will commence in March 2024. Fans and teams are eagerly awaiting this first official tournament of the year.

Several organizations, including Team Soul, GodLike, Revenant, and Entity, have been preparing for the event. Underdog and semi-pro teams from across India will have the opportunity to register for the BGIS 2024. Additionally, teams that performed well in previous official tournaments will receive a direct spot in the upcoming event.

Excitingly, Krafton is set to implement a 10-point scoring system in the BGIS for the first time. Fans are looking forward to seeing competitions between teams under this new point system. Previously, Krafton hosted all BGMI tournaments using a 15-point system.

In 2023, Krafton organized three official events, including the BGIS, India vs South Korea Invitational, and BMPS Season 2. Now, in 2024, it is expected that several big tournaments will be conducted by Krafton. The details of the upcoming BGMI tournament, including the prize pool, will be revealed by Krafton in the next few weeks.

With the success of the Snapdragon Pro Series hosted by ESL, where Entity Gaming emerged victorious, many squads will be gearing up for the official BGMI tournament. The previous editions of the BGIS had prize pools of ₹1 crore and ₹2 crore. Fans are excited to see what the prize money will be for the third edition.

Stay tuned for more updates on the first official BGMI tournament of 2024 as Krafton unveils all the relevant details in the coming weeks.
